ST-Did You Know?
March 2018
DESIGN DOCUMENT
Based upon a brief, ST-Did You Know? is a game that provides players with a basic yet important understanding of the nature of STI's and the ways in which to prevent them.

Brief
The brief given highlighted the client's desire for an experience that is light, easy-to-understand, and marketable towards 13-18 year old kids, all whilst providing them with a fundamental knowledge of STI's and the ways in which to prevent them.
Gameplay
Gameplay consists of rearranging cards to correctly display the right word. A majority of player interaction, however, will be spent in the Guide portion, where players can learn information about four STI's and six prevention methods.

Personal Goals
- Improve my abilities within Unity, specifically C# scripting, scene management, and UI
- Deliver a polished experience within a short development period, made up of weekly 1:1 meetings with the client
- Develop a better understanding of STI's and appropriate prevention methods
- Create effective user stories
As I was creating this game, every and any question, ranging from the colour of the background to the specific verbiage used, had to be considered from the client's perspective. And with that, I believe I created something that, design-wise is at the intersection of the client's requirements and my personal goals.
The collective criteria for success included a project that was minimal yet appealing to the eyes, contained short but crucial information about STI's, and didn't take itself too seriously.
Hence candy pastels for the art, bold white and black text for the information, and personifying the STI's, condoms, diaphragms, etc.
Designing the Visuals
Simple, clean, and bright. Legible text and large, vivid images.
