Game Concept

CS: GRO

May 2018

INTERACTIVE

DEMO

Over a period of one month, my team and I were tasked with designing an application/product in response to a hypothetical client brief.

The final product is called CS: GRO, a mobile application to aid players in their effort to increase their skills and knowledge in the popular PC game Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

Wireframe of CS: GRO app

Design an application that provides players of Counter Strike: Global Offensive with tools to better understand the game.

This application should help users improve and monitor their own gameplay, keep up-to-date on eSport updates, and compare profiles with their Steam friends.

Ideally, this application will:

- Provide easy-to-understand lessons on map tactics

- Display analysis on high level matches and players

- Give players tools to compare themselves with others

- Present live updates on the game and the thriving eSport scene

- Allow the user to see what they want, when they want

- Be sleek, modern, and different

Evaluation

The final product we delivered was sleek and highly flexible - thanks in large part to utilising Metro design.

Using a tile-based UI, with legible buttons and a simple flat colours allowed us to create a tool that keeps both form and function in a tight balance.
